MAGIC
Hello, this is eb and welcome to the BRAND NEW section of EB magic.
Here we will learn the secrets to alot of my tricks, IF YOUR READY FOR IT.
THE FIRST TRICK TO MAGIC-PALMING A CARD
This trick doesnt take alot of suprising skill to do, it isnt even much of a trick.
We're going to palm a card. There are many types of palms. The one we are
learning is the classic. Take a deck of cards and hold it as formed: Middle, Ring, and
Pinky Fingers are held as so in your right hand. They are all formed on the left side of the
deck. Your thumb is on the other side of a deck. With your four finger on the top of the deck.
Now the palming position. For the palm you take the top card from the deck by putting
your hand on the top of the deck and bend your hand for just a moment to have it shoot up
to your palm. You need big hands for this trick so the viewers dont notice the card in your
left hand. With your fingers close together keeping the card covered. You have to have
your hand bent for the card to stay in it. WRITEN BY EB
Tenqui Palm
This is a different kind of palm this is great to you with tricks that take
speed. This palm is a very tough trying just by reading it. So I'll give you
some tips to help you learn. First grab a card from the deck it doesnt matter.
Take that card and put it in between your middle and four finger. Bring it down
to your palm like so, with your 2 fingers. Put the card's side to the palm of
your hand and close on it with your thumb. Now you should have your card in a
position used for quick tequiniqes. Now also you need to practice in a mirror to
find the perfect angle. Your card will be sticking out so you need to be facing the
other way. WRITEN BY EB.
Over Hand Shuffle
This is great for quick shuffles. It starts off as your deck in your hand
faced to the side against your middle, ring, and pinkie fingers. You have
your four finger sticking out as a area to to shuffle the cards. Now is the shuffle
part. You cut the deck by taking the back part and bring it to the front. Now you
let half of the cut pile go infront, then you take half of the half cut pile and put it. And
so on. WRITEN BY EB.
Riffle Shuffle
For this shuffle you have 2 piles about equal. You put both piles so that the bottom has
your middle, ring, and pinkie fingers on it. Your thumb is on top. Now you take your
thumb and brush up against it. and have your four finger pushing on the back of the deck
brush the two decks to gether and you have now done the Mixer Shuffle. WRITEN BY EB.
Fake Shuffle
This shuffle is used in more challenging tricks. Durring this you do the over hand shuffle.
Scroll up to find OVER HAND SHUFFLE. But you spoof it alittle bit. Now when you first,
do this you do the same as the over hand shuffle, but! On the first time you take the cards
and put it over the top you put the first card brought up about an inch twards you. So you
marked that spot. Then you just pile all the rest ontop of it. It looks like a casual shuffle,
now to get the card to the bottom, you just simply take of the top card like so, putting
your thumb on it and sliding it into your right hand. And then simply plop the rest on top.

"I Have it"
Hold a normal deck in your hand. Put down 3 piles of any amount of cards. Keeping a decent sized deck left in your hand (about 20 cards).
Tell a member of the audience to pick a card off of one of the 3 piles and place it back to the top of one of the 3 piles.
While the audience are watching the person do this, palm a card and look at the card palmed in your hand from the remaining deck.
When they have put the card back place your hand on top of the deck and say "Shall I hit the cards like this" (putting the palmed card in your hand on top of there card).
"Or like this" (touch it with your finger). When they chose hit all 3 piles that way. Showing your empty hand to them after each pile.
Then say "I am going to move your card to another deck". Get the card that you placed on top of their card on another deck. Then pick up the other two decks placing the deck with there card on top of the other in your hand.
Then say "Did you keep your eye on your card?". They should say yes.
Say "Please show it to me". When they turn over the card that they think is their card proclaim "I HAVE IT!" and present the card.
Notes: Practice this trick before performing. It's easy to get confused on how a card trick works just from reading about it. Having a deck of cards in your hands as you try and learn the tricks on this page will make it much easy to learn, understand and then master. WRITEN BY EB,

Elevator Card
This trick uses the principle of the double lift
When showing the top card actually perform a double lift and show the card that was really second from the top of the pack.
Then remove the actual top card and place it into the middle of the deck.
The already shown card is still on the top of the deck and can be revealed in any way that the magician wishes.
Make sure that the double lift is clean and bend the cards slightly to ensure that they stay together as one. WRITEN BY EB, SPECIAL THANKS TO GOODTRICKS.NET.

World Simplest Trick
Nothing! You really don't do anything! If I have to say, the only thing you have to do for this trick is to act like you are really concentrating very hard on the cards when you put your hand on them. That's all! This trick simply works! All by itself! This trick works by probability. When the spectator names two cards (remember to tell him not to name the suit), let's say Ace and Ten, he is really naming four cards of each kind since the suit is not specified. The theory is that out of those eight cards (Ace of Spades, Ace of Hearts, Ace of Clubs, Ace of Diamonds, Ten of Spades, Ten of Hearts, Ten of Clubs, Ten of Diamonds), at least one of the Aces in the deck will be next to one of the Tens. Don't believe this? Try it out! About 10% of the time, there may be a card between the Ace and the Ten. If that happens, simply tell the spectator that you are not concentrating hard enough. When you repeat the trick, it will work. You can never find a trick that's easier than this one! WRITEN BY EB.
Bottoms Up
Ask a spectator to shuffle the cards. When he/she hands them back to you note the bottom card. That is going to be their card.
Start by fanning the cards out. Run your finger across them and ask the spectator when to stop. When he/she says to stop, put your thumb on that point of the deck.
While your thumb is on that point, use your other fingers to slowly work the bottom card under your thumb. As you pull the cards off the top of the deck with your thumb, slide the bottom card under the other cards and pull them off the deck and show the spectator his/ her card. This is where you take over. Since you already know the card you can have the spectator cut, shuffle. WRITEN BY EB, SPECIAL THANKS TO TRICKERTRICK.COM.

Mathomatics Card Trick
Ask a person to choose a card. tell him to remember it's numerical value (Ace = one, Jack- = 11, Queen = 12, King = 13) Also to remember the suit of the card.
Tell them to double the value of the card.
Then tell them to add three to the total.
Then tell them to multiply the complete total by five.
This done ask them to concentrate on the suit.
If the card is a diamond they must add one.
If the card is a club they must add two.
If the card is a heart they must add three.
If the card is a spade they must add four.
They must then tell you the final total.
From this total, you immediately know the chosen card.
The Secret: Is to mentally subtract 15 from the given total. You will have a number of two figures, possibly three
The last figure gives you the suit (diamonds 1, clubs 2, hearts 3, spades 4.) while the first figure gives you the suit.
Example: Jack of clubs
11 doubled is 22, add 3--25, multiply by 5--125. add for clubs--makes 127. You are told that number.
Subtract 15 mentally. Result 112. Last figure (2) means clubs, first figure(11) means Jack.

4 Person Levitation
The person to be lifted ( choose a fairly heavy person ) should be relaxed but upright on a firm chair. Feet should be on the floor and their hands on their lap.
The four assistants should stand two on each side of the person, one by each shoulder and one by each knee.
Each assistant should make fists with both hands, then extend the two forefingers and touch them together, gently but firmly the two assistants standing by the shoulders, place their extended forefingers under the seated persons right or left armpit. The other two assistants place their forefinger under the seated persons left or right knee
The person to be lifted thinks "down" and imagines him or herself to be sinking into the chair.
In this position, the four assistants should try to lift the person.
Stage 2:
The assistants should now place their palms on top of the seated persons knee or shoulder and together, exert a steady downwards force.
While they are doing this someone counts out loud from one to ten.
On the count of nine, the four assistants quickly take their former positions with extended forefingers under the armpit or knee. On the count of ten, they try again to lift the person. The seated person should think"up" and imagine himself or herself rising into the air.
If these instructions are followed carefully, the person will soar straight up into the air on the forefingers of the assistants.WRITEN BY EB, SPECIAL THANKS TO MAGICO.com

Hand Flip Easy
1. Lay two coins in the palms of your hands like this - the positions are very important! Notice that the coin in my left hand is right in the middle of my palm. The coin in my right hand is near my thumb. 2. In one quick motion, flip both hands over and slap them straight down onto the table. The coin in your right hand should get flicked across and under your left hand. The coin in your left hand should simply fall straight down. 3. Ask your audience where they think the coins are – they'll probably guess there's one under each hand. If you move your right pinkie finger a bit, people usually guess the coins are under your right hand – then you can reveal they are wrong! 4. Reveal both coins under your left hand. If you repeat the trick, be quick! Try not to let anyone notice the positions of the coins. Now, you can make the coins land under your right hand instead?WRITEN BY EB.
Magic Card Diviner
Before beginning this trick, you first separate all the red suited cards from the black suited ones. Put the red and black suited cards into two separate blocks. Take the red suited block of cards and while holding the pack, face up, bend the cards up so that they form a slight arch. Then put them down and pick up the black suited pack. Holding the black suited pack face down, bend the cards up towards you forming a slight arch. The two separate blocks of cards can then be put back together. The pack is now ready to be shuffled. After shuffling, spread the pack face down on the table and you can secretly tell the red and black cards apart as they have slight bends in them. i.e the red cards curl down slightly and the black cards curl up slightly. This will not usually be noticed by your audience. You can then proceed to identify the color of each face down card.
Performance: Although this is a simple trick, it can be very entertaining and impressive with a little bit of patter and imagination from the magician. You can pretend to have a "magic divining rod" for instance and even continue to blah!, blah!, blah!, e.t.c. about the origin of the magic divining rod/card. All you then need to do is hold a wand or even another playing card over the face down pack and make it vibrate slightly as it passes over your desired card. And there you have it, with a little bit of patter, you have transformed an otherwise run of the mill card trick into an entertaining feat of magic. The Three Amigos
Start the trick by presenting three Jacks and make up a storyabout them being three best buddies and how they couldnt stand being apart.
Continue to rant on on how one day the three amigos were lost in the desert and the best way to seek help was to go in different directions. The first one to get help was to come and get the others, so off they went in their different directions.
Get the spectator to place one Jack on top of the pack, one Jack anywhere in the middle and the last Jack on the bottom of the pack.
Confirm with the spectator that he is happy that the Jacks are well seperated, then get him to cut the pack ensuring that the bottom half of the pack is put on top of the other half.
(This will bring the top and bottom Jack together with the previously placed Jack)
The cards are then turned face up from the top off the pack eventually turning over three Jacks together near the center to the spectators amazement.
Conclude your story that in the end the friends were good to their word and all lived happy ever after. WRITEN BY EB SPECIAL THANKS TO QUICKTRICKS.COM.
